Nurturing creativity, grace and sparkle in students aged 2–18, where every dancer is seen, supported and celebrated.

At Elina Patrou Academy of Dance, tiny toes twirl, imaginations take flight and strong foundations are quietly built beneath the sparkle.

We offer inspiring training in classical ballet and contemporary dance for children and young people aged 2 to 18—welcoming both joyful beginners and dedicated dancers-in-the-making. Rooted in care and guided by deep expertise, our approach blends the magic of movement with professional knowledge in dance science, Pilates, yoga, somatics, and imagery. Every class is a chance to move with joy, grow in confidence, and become more fully oneself.

We value each dancer’s unique journey, and building trust, strength, and creativity from the inside out.

Our training is supported by research into bone health, hypermobility, developmental movement, and embodied learning. But just as important are the giggles, the friendships, the sense of belonging—and the quiet joy of being part of something made with love.

This is more than a dance school.
It’s an academy.
A community.
A place where dancers grow with grace, imagination and lifelong wonder.

Elina Patrou

I started dancing in my mum’s ballet school when I was four. I still remember rolling out huge canvases across the studio floor to paint scenery for our school shows, side by side with her. I remember the sweet smell of lycra tutus and lipstick, the excitement of backstage huddles, and that fluttery feeling just before stepping into the lights. Those early years didn’t just ignite my love of dance—they taught me how powerful a studio environment can be in shaping confidence, creativity, and belonging. The ballet school was like a second home—and in many ways, it still is.

I've always loved movement, and I’ve never stopped being a student. My path has been one of curiosity and care: from professional dance training to teaching qualifications, an MSc in Dance Science, and further studies in yoga, Pilates, somatics, and embodied anatomy. I’m endlessly fascinated by the body’s quiet intelligence—its ability to tell stories, hold memory, and move with both strength and subtlety.

One of my greatest joys in teaching is using imagery—a method I explored in depth during my academic research. Imagery allows students to learn in a way that feels intuitive, magical, and alive. I bring that same sense of wonder and creativity into every class I teach.

Now, with a little girl of my own, spins and sparkle are taking on a whole new meaning. I’m more inspired than ever to create a space where children feel at home in their bodies, alive in their imaginations, and supported in the joyful discipline of dance.

These experiences shape how I work today: not through pressure, but through presence, strength, and care. I bring love, clarity, and integrity to every class.

A heartfelt, holistic dance education rooted in tradition, shaped by current Dance Science research and taught with imagination and creativity.
