Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Exams

Elina Patrou Academy of Dance follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, meaning that students can enter for prestigious ballet examinations.

RAD exams are recognised worldwide. They encourage students to develop musicality, artistry and creativity along with providing opportunites to progress and achieve a solid classical ballet technique. All successful candidates receive a certificate of achievement and a breakdown of their result with a bronze, silver or gold medal.

Higher level RAD ballet examiniations are accepted as a measure of achievement by vocational schools attended by young people aiming to dance professionally. They are also highly valued by universities and other HE institutions offering degree courses and programmes in the performing arts. From Grade 6 and above students gain UCAS points towards their application to their chosen university.

Elina has been teaching RAD ballet for 12 years and her students have all been successful in their examinations.

RAD registered teachers are required to complete continuing professional development courses every year, ensuring that they develop their teaching skills and remain at the forefront of dance education.
